What is a Ranch Draft?
A Ranch Draft is an accessible draft format that’s easy to participate in! Each participant will Recruit six Pokémon from the Roster Ranch via Trial Recruitment.
Players should ensure they have enough Quick Coupons or VP to roll several Pokémon from the Roster Ranch to participate in the event, as players will utilise “Recruit Pokémon” at least six times for the event; the Organizer may opt to permit some number of mulligan recruits.
Recruit Phase
Only “Trial Recruitment” is permitted in the Ranch Draft—this means players cannot alter the Moves, Ability, Stat Points, or Stat Alignment of Pokémon; rather, the decision-making lies in which Pokémon are taken from each Recruitment in order to form a cohesive team, as well as their Held Items.
After choosing six keepers, players are ready to assemble their teams! If the Organizer opts to use Open Team Lists, players will also use this time to complete their Team Lists. This process constitutes the Recruit Phase.
What happens next?
Once the Recruit Phase is completed, a Swiss tournament is held with each drafter participating. Have fun playing with all kinds of Pokémon!
