Bloomfield League: Premier Events
2025-2026 Season
October 2025
League Cup
This Cup featured 16 Masters, 3 Juniors, and 3 Seniors -- this means it was our first-ever Cup with separate divisions! A very unusual metagame for this event early in the MEG format, Gardevoir ex was by far the most represented deck with 5 players (4 Masters, 1 Junior), two of whom were playing the Jellicent ex variant, including the Juniors/Seniors winner, Byron E. (2-0-1). After Gardevoir, Charizard was the second-most played deck, with the two Masters pilots, Avery M. (3-2-1) and Tyler M. (4-1-1), meeting both in Round 1 and Top 4. Dragapult ex, Gholdengo ex (split between the traditional Energy Search Pro and MEG Lunatone/Solrock-based engine), and Slowking were the other archetypes with multiple representatives in the room. Thalia (4-0-2) made the perfect call with the Hydrapple ex deck she'd been working on, with all of the other players in cut representing huge Weaknesses to Grass. After defeating Adam (3-2-1) in Top 4 in a tense three-game set, she and Tyler came to an agreement in which Finals resolved diplomatically.

League Challenge
For the first time this format, Dragapult ex was not the most played deck in the room! There were 13 Masters and 1 Junior for a total of 14 players and four rounds. The big story of the evening has to be Will Connor (3-0-1), fresh off his VGC Cup win, piloting Cynthia's Garchomp ex to an undefeated first place finish, handing brooke english (3-1) its only loss of the night. The rest of Top 4 was a diverse array of decks, featuring Charles Snyder III (3-1) on Joltik Toolbox and Zack Elledge (3-1) on Raging Bolt ex. The other archetypes to see multiple players were Tera Toolbox with three pilots; Gholdengo ex, a split between a traditional and Joltik build; and Charizard, likewise split between choice of bird partners.

September 2025
League Challenge
There were 13 Masters and 1 Junior for a total of 14 players, four rounds. Over 70% of the room played Evolution decks with 60-70 HP basics (mostly Dragapult, but a couple Gardevoir, Grimmsnarl, and Froslass, as well) and Thalia G. (4-0) preyed on to great effect with Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex in a format most of these decks are opting to forgo Shaymin. Notably, her last round opponent Jackson D. (3-1) did run Shaymin, but it was critically prized in their match in which Thalia's suboptimal Fezandipiti start swept by sniping energy-laden Dreepy. Newcomer Sean V.A. (3-1) piloted Gardevoir to great success defeating three Dragapult and losing only to Cup Champ Bloom R. (2-2) with the unfavourable Marnie's Grimmsnarl. Rounding up Top Four is Kaden T. (3-1), one of the Dragapult players Sean defeated.

 - Jackson Duke on Dragapult ex (with Dusknoir)

August 2025
League Cup
There were 19 Masters and 1 Junior for a total of 20 players (the venue cap)! Several players from West Virginia drove up to participate in BPL's fourth ever Cup and first of the 2026 Season. One of those players, Joseph R. (5-2) showed a display of strength in Swiss to secure cut on Gholdengo ex, the only one in the room. He lost to 2-time Cup winner brooke english (4-1-1) in Swiss, but got his revenge in Top Cut winning two games in a row. The other Top Four match was a Marnie's Grimmsnarl mirror between League regular Bloom R. (6-0-1) and Nicole C. (4-2) who made her second appearance at a BPL Cup. It was a complex match, but Bloom edged out after time was called. Despite the intimidating matchup, Bloom also brought Finals to time and took advantage of Joe's weak start to take early prize cards.

 - Joseph Romeo on Gholdengo ex
 - brooke english on Dragapult ex (with Dusknoir)

League Challenge
There were 15 Masters, 2 Seniors, and 1 Junior for a total of 18 players! Dragapult continues to be the most popular archetype at BPL, representing the only archetype with more than two pilots. Zack E. (3-1) brought Blissey again and performed well, but just barely missed Top 4 due to breakers. Several newcomers to the League debuted to success, especially Aaron Y. (3-1) and Callahan F. (3-1) both with Top 4 placements. Avery (3-1) and brooke (4-0) showed down in Round 4 as the two remaining undefeated players, and while an extremely competitive match, brooke managed to navigate hand disruption and Team Rocket's Watchtower to close out the game, securing the League's first placement with Ethan's Typhlosion.
Masters Top 4

 - Aaron York on Archaludon ex (with Scizor)

July 2025
League Challenge
There were 15 Masters, 1 Senior, and 3 Juniors for a total of 19 players! Ross Higashi (4-0), the only undefeated player of the night showed the value of sticking to a deck with an excellent showing against all of the other Masters Top 4 players with his now-signature Eevee Toolbox deck. Maya (3-1) and John (3-1) were the other contenders in the crown race, both taking advantage of lesser-played decks. brooke (2-1-1) rounded up Masters Top Four with the Bradner Gardevoir list, losing only to Ross. Lucas (3-1) and Maxwell (3-1) both showed the Masters not to count them out, with Lucas on Raging Bolt ex and Maxwell on Gholdengo ex with Dragapult ex. Dragapult ex was the most represented deck with almost a third of the room playing it, but it did not make the list of best-performing decks. Special mentions to be given to Zack (2-1-1) for doing well with Blissey ex and Paige's (1-0-3) debut of her unique Spidops ex Control deck, although securing the win condition does seem to be a test of literal time.
